وأعلن مصطفى طنطاوي المستشار الإعلامي لـ هاني أبوريدة، اعتماد ترشيحه لعضوية المكتب التنفيذي لـ فيفا، لدورة مقبلة.

يُذكر أن أبو ريدة عضوًا بالمجلس الأعلى للفيفا منذ 2009، كما يعد من ضمن 8 أعضاء في الاتحاد العالمي لقوانين كرة القدم “IFAB”.

رحب التركي أردا توران، لاعب فريق جالطة سراي بالمهاجم المصري مصطفى محمد بعد مشاركتهما في مباراة اليوم أمام باشاك شهير.

وتلاقى الفريقان في إطار منافسات الجولة الثالثة والعشرين من الدوري التركي حيث فاز جالطة سراي بثلاثة أهداف دون رد.

وشارك مصطفى محمد في تلك المباراة كبديل في الدقيقة 46، وهو اللقاء الأول له بقميص جالطة سراي بعد إتمام انتقاله من الزمالك مساء أمس.

Mauricio Pochettino wants Christian Eriksen to remain at Tottenham Hotspur this summer, he said at the British Grand Prix via Football.London.

What’s the word?

The Denmark international confirmed after the Champions League final defeat to Liverpool that he could leave the club in this transfer window.

However, long-mooted links with Real Madrid have not come to anything as yet, while Manchester United, per The Guardian, were ruled out as a destination when they failed to qualify for the Champions League in 2018/19.

And Pochettino is hopeful that Eriksen will end up staying in north London, saying: “I hope he is (going to stay). I think he’s a great player, he’s one of the biggest talents in football.

“After five years working with him, always, I enjoy the way that he plays and I hope, yes. But there’s a lot of interest for different players; I hope yes, but I don’t know what is going to happen with this.”

Contradictory reports

Pochettino perhaps had to say this but it directly contradicts reports suggesting that chairman Daniel Levy is actively trying to sell the Dane.

Reports in Spain have claimed that he has actually offered Eriksen to Real as he looks to raise funds for Pochettino’s summer spending.

He has, of course, already signed Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon and Jack Clarke from Leeds United but links with the likes of Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon persist.

Spurs might actually need to sell Eriksen to get those deals over the line, particularly Lo Celso, as his contract has an £88m release clause, and one imagines that Levy would not sanction that sale without consulting Pochettino first.

This might well be a bluff from the Argentine, then, as he simply looks to drum up extra interest in the playmaker.

According to The Daily Mirror, Manchester United have no interest in making a double swoop for Sporting CP’s Bruno Fernandes and Lille’s Nicolas Pepe this summer amid speculation of potential moves for the pair.

The report claims that the Red Devils feel clubs have used the side’s desire to strengthen their squad this summer as a way of hiking up the prices of players they want to sell.

It adds that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are not interested in either Fernandes or Pepe and that the constant rumours surrounding the duo potentially joining United has begun to “irritate” the Red Devils.

A public battle

One of the biggest issues that his blighted United’s summer transfer window this summer has simply been that every club in Europe is aware of the Manchester side’s desire to sign players. It puts the Red Devils at a distinct disadvantage as selling clubs know that the club are desperate for new signings and know they can use that to their own benefit.

The Daily Mirror’s claim that there is a suspicion amongst the club hierarchy’s that agents and clubs are trying to use speculation to increase the asking price of players certainly feels like it has a lot of weight to it. United have been linked with what feels like every player on the planet, and yet they have only managed to sign two this summer.

Fernandes and Pepe are fine footballers, but are they the kind of signings that United feel is a priority? The moves for Harry Maguire and Sean Longstaff feel more in line with the supposed thinking at the club to sign young, British players, and a major contrast to the kind of European bidding war you would expect with a swoop for either Fernandes or Pepe.

As the transfer window deadline inches ever closer, The Daily Mirror’s report certainly raises the need to take rumours with a pinch of salt and a touch of caution.

وعن مفاوضات الزمالك وسبب فشلها، قال جلال: “كان هناك تواصل مع وكيلي أحمد يحيى، ومسؤولو الزمالك اتفقوا مع إنبي على كل شئ، ولكن الأمر توقف فجأة بسبب عدم قدرة الزمالك على دفع مقدم العقد”.

واستطرد: “أما الأهلي فقد عرض ضمي قبل ذلك، ولكن المقابل المادي أوقف الصفقة، ثم عرضوا مرة أخرى ولنفس السبب توقف الأمر، وبعدها اتجهوا للتعاقد مع صفقات أخرى”.

واستكمل: “في أي نادٍ لابد أن تكون هناك منافسة، وانا أتعلم من زملائي في مركزي، وإن شاء الله أستفيد من تجربتي مع الفريق في إفريقيا”.

وأتم: “رمضان صبحي قائد فريقي بمنتخب مصر الأولمبي، وكان يتحدث معي دائمًا عن طموح بيراميدز”.

واختتم: “فرص منتخب مصر في الأولمبياد كبيرة جدًا، لن أجزم بأننا سنحصل على ميدالية، ولكن سنسير كما فعلنا في بطولة إفريقيا، وسنفكر خطوة بخطوة”.

Manchester United’s 2019 summer pre-season tour has come to an end, and what a tour it was.

After playing a total of four games across three different countries, the Red Devils picked up four wins, suggesting Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s preparation for the new campaign has been a great success.

But probably the most encouraging theme to emerge from the tour abroad was the impressive performances of the youngsters.

Angel Gomes was one of the star’s of the clash against Tottenham Hotspur as the 18-year-old midfielder managed to bag his first goal with the senior team.

He quickly took to

Some of the big names were first on the scene as the likes of Jesse Lingard and Ian Wright sent their best wishes to the youngster.

But they were not nearly the only ones as a plethora of other players, friends and rivals were quick to do the same.

Jackie McNamara has told Football Insider that Celtic still need at least one more right-back, despite signing Hatem Abd Elhamed.

What’s he said?

It’s been a busy summer at Parkhead and there are no signs that it’ll quieten down anytime soon. Nearly £12m has been spent on four new arrivals with those figures likely to increase as we get closer to September 2nd.

One area of the park where there has been a great deal of change is right-back. Only Elhamed has come in, signing from Hapoel Be’er Sheva for a £1.6m fee, but three have departed; Mikael Lustig and Cristian Gamboa were released and Jeremy Toljan’s loan expired.

This has led to Celtic being linked to and failing to sign many new right-backs, according to The Scottish Daily Mail.

The approach of targeting new right-sided defensive reinforcements is something McNamara agrees with, stating to Football Insider: “There’s obviously the right-back position that needs strengthening. You could do with another one there to make it two right-backs.”

They need reinforcements

McNamara’s claim that his old side needs another right-back is well supported.

Anthony Ralston is the only other right-back at the club and Neil Lennon clearly doesn’t trust him yet. The Celts boss preferred to alter his shape rather than play the 20-year-old, so it would be a surprise to see him act as Elhamed’s back-up this season.

When Lennon has opted for four at the back he’s gone for Kristoffer Ajer on the right. While he filled in admirably, it’s a waste of his talents as a central defender to have him marooned out against the touchline.

The Norweigan will likely be a part of the Bhoys’ first-choice centre-back partnership this season, so having him as Elhamed’s only cover would be spreading very thin indeed.

Failure to bring in the likes of Tommy Smith, Jack Stacey and James Justin is worrying, but the Hoops must persist and heed McNamara’s advice.

With Ajer wasted on the flank, Elhamed inexperienced in Scotland and Ralston simply not trusted by Lennon, a new right-back must still be near the top of the shopping list.

Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose has travelled to Watford’s training ground, per The Athletic’s Watford correspondent Adam Leventhal.

Spurs have reportedly concluded a deal to sign Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham on transfer deadline day.

And Leventhal has now reported that Rose is at on the premises at the Hornets’ training facility.

The England left-back was omitted from the club’s squad for their pre-season tour of Asia in order to explore the opportunity of a move away.

And it now appears that the Premier League club have registered their interest in signing him.

Leventhal wrote on The Athletic’s transfer blog (August 8th, 15:44): “‪Understand Danny Rose is at TG. That’s all I know at the minute, but I’m guessing it’s not to reminisce about his 2009 loan spell. ‬”

Sky Sports News, however, have claimed that Spurs have rejected a bid for Rose from the Hornets, per their live blog (16:03).

One domino falls

It always felt as though Sessegnon needed to sign for this to happen.

Sources at the club have always maintained that the 19-year-old is seen as the long-term replacement to Rose and that the club wanted to sell the latter before buying the former.

It appears that the opposite has happened, with Sessegnon arriving before Rose’s departure but, with time tight, the dominos may have fallen, with the knock-on effect of the teenager’s arrival being the 29-year-old’s departure.

He has been with the club since 2007, making a total of 198 first-team appearances, but it now looks as though he could be close to ending his 12-year association with the north London outfit.

Watford may simply have to table another offer to make it happen.
