Many Glasgow Rangers fans are far from happy with a tweet from Slavia Prague in the aftermath of the Glen Kamara racism row.

Slavia knocked the Gers out of the Europa League on Thursday after winning 2-0 at Ibrox. They were the better team over the two legs in their round of 16 clash, but their progress was marred by a racism row, with Kamara accusing Ondrej Kudela of the crime towards the end of the 90 minutes.

Slavia have since vehemently denied the allegations, even suggesting that Kamara hit Kudela on the back of the head (slavia.cz). The Czech club has now taken to Twitter to post a rather ironic tweet. On Sunday, it was the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, and the Czech champions shared a video of their players saying no to racism.

The clip appeared on both their Czech and English Twitter accounts, and unsurprisingly it attracted plenty of attention from Gers supporters. These fans took to the social media platform to share their thoughts on Slavia’s tweet.

In an exclusive interview with Football FanCast, former Premier League midfielder Carlton Palmer has warned Everton that they must adapt following the injury to Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Doucoure, who joined Everton from Watford in the last summer transfer window, has been an important player for Carlo Ancelotti this season, making 30 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees.

However, the French midfielder is now expected to be a long-term absentee after picking up an injury against West Brom at the start of the month, leaving his manager with a huge headache.

It is a blow for Everton, who must now adapt, according to Palmer, as they continue to push for a Champions League spot. Discussing Doucoure’s injury with FFC, the former Sheffield Wednesday player said:

“He’s played exceptionally well for them. Every club misses their good players, every club misses their good players. So, yeah, they’re going to miss him, they’re going to have to reshuffle the pack a little bit, but what can you do? He’s injured and that’s why you’ve got a squad of players.

“They’re playing really well, Everton, so I think they can adapt to the loss. But it is a big loss for them.”

While Ancelotti will be without Doucoure for the foreseeable future, the Italian at least has Allan to call upon again. The Brazilian midfielder has also had his injury problems this season but is available for selection again in a massive boost for the Merseyside club.

Ancelotti, unfortunately, still has to contend with the absence of attacking midfielder James Rodriguez, though the 29-year-old should be fit to play again when the Premier League returns after the international break.

O confronto entre Joinville e Bahia começou com as duas equipes buscando o ataque desde os primeiros instantes e logo aos dois minutos, Bruno Farias quase fez um belo gol em jogada individual. Os baianos responderam com Eduardo, que cruzou para Edigar Junio, mas atacante não alcançou. O JEC seguia pressionando e Jael quase abriu o placar de cabeça, porém quem marcou foi o Bahia, com Edigar Junio. Bola sobrou para o atacante bater de esquerda e estufar as redes do time catarinense.

O autor do gol estava inspirado e logo após marcar o primeiro, quase deixou sua marca outra vez. Atacante cabeceou com perigo para o gol de Samuel Pires, que só torceu para a bola ir pela linha de fundo. Jogo ficou truncado e quando todos esperavam o final da primeira etapa, Jael aproveitou cruzamento de Bruno Ribeiro e deixou tudo igual.

Assim como foi no primeiro tempo, o jogo começou movimentado e na primeira chegada do JEC, Muriel salvou o Bahia. Primeiro Jael foi abafado e em seguida o goleiro pegou a finalização de Giva. Bruno Farias também tentou, mas finalização de fora da área saiu pela linha de fundo. Bahia tinha dificuldades para sair jogando e Muriel ia garantindo o empate para os visitantes.

Jackson quase complicou a vida do time da casa, mandando contra o próprio patrimônio. Equipes marcavam bem no setor de meio-campo e faltava criatividade na hora de construir as jogadas. Antes do final da partida, Edigar Junio mandou de voleio e por pouco não fez o gol do triunfo baiano.

يحلم الفرنسي جان ميشيل أولاس، رئيس نادي أولمبيك ليون، بعودة قائد ريال مدريد كريم بنزيما إلى صفوف الفريق مرة أخرى، بعد الرحيل عن الملكي.

بنزيما من ناشئي ليون، وقضى صاحب الـ34 عامًا، أكثر من 7 سنوات في ليون قبل الانتقال إلى ريال مدريد في 2009 مقابل 35 مليون يورو.

وقال أولاس في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة “آس” الإسبانية: “نأمل أن يعود بنزيما إلينا مرة أخرى، نرغب في ذلك حقًا”.

ما زالت أزمة اللاعبين الدوليين تؤرق نادي مونتيري منافس الأهلي في بطولة كأس العالم للأندية في “الآمارات” والتي ستنطلق يوم 3 فبراير المقبل مع وجود تجمع دولي استثنائي في تصفيات قارتي أمريكا الجنوبية والشمالية.

ويمتلك نادي مونتيري تقريبًا ما يصل إلى 10 لاعبين دوليين في منتخبات المكسيك، كولومبيا، كوستاريكا والأرجنتين، ولديهم مباريات حتى يوم 3 فبراير مما يهدد بعدم وجودهم في المباراة الأولى أمام الأهلي.

وتحدث المدير الرياضي لنادي مونتيري، دويليو دافينو، عن الأزمة في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة “ماركا” الإسبانية وشبكة “TUDN” الأمريكية، وقال: “حاولنا مع فيفا تغيير مواعيد البطولة لكنهم رفضوا”.

وتابع: “لذلك قمنا بالتحدث مع الاتحاد المكسيكي ورابطة الدوري للتفكير ومعرفة ما يمكن فعله بشأن اللاعبين الدوليين وكذلك كانت هناك محادثات بين تاتا مارتينو (مدرب المكسيك) وخافيير أجيري (مدرب مونتيري) لحل الأمر”.

وأضاف: “إذا نجح منتخب المكسيك في تحقيق نتيجتين إيجابيتين أمام جامايكا وكوستاريكا، لن يلعب لاعبينا الدوليين مباراة بنما (يوم 3 فبراير)، من أجل اللحاق بالبعثة في الإمارات والتمكن من المشاركة في مونديال الأندية”.

وواصل تصريحاته: “لقد تواصلنا أيضًا مع اتحادي الأرجنتين (ماكسي ميزا وإستيبان أندرادا) وكولومبيا (ستيفان ميدينا) للاتفاق معهما على سفر لاعبينا إلى أبو ظبي ليدعموا فريقنا قبل كأس العالم في الإمارات”.

وأتم: “نرغب في كتابة تاريخنا، لدينا حماس كبير لمواصلة تحقيق نتائج رائعة على المستوى الدولي كما كان يحدث على مر السنوات الماضية”.

Celtic may be without a manager but that isn’t stopping the Hoops hierarchy from considering new arrivals at Parkhead.

Of course, Neil Lennon left the hot seat a number of weeks ago but the transfer rumour mill has been in full swing regardless.

What’s the word?

According to GIVEMESPORT, Celtic are in the race to sign Peterborough forward Siriki Dembele this summer.

They claim that his eye-catching form in England’s third tier has led to interest in a player who may not cost a penny this summer.

That’s because Dembele is out of contract in a few months time and thus, could sign a pre-contract deal similar to the one Liam Shaw has already agreed with Celtic.

Interestingly, the Posh winger is the brother of Karamoko Dembele.

Imagine him & Edouard

Dembele would be a fantastic addition for Celtic, a team that have lacked creativity and goals from a wide area of late.

Moi Elyounoussi may have scored in the Old Firm derby but that was just his first goal in his last 11 matches. As for Ryan Christie, he has netted only twice in his last 26 outings.

Evidently, they need a bit of extra spice in forward areas. They’d certainly find that in Dembele, a player who has registered eight goals and 12 assists in League One this term.

His tally of assists is only bettered by two players in the division, one of which happens to be former Hoops star Aiden McGeady. His goal tally, meanwhile, now stands at 21 in a Peterborough shirt.

It’s not a giant number but he’s come on leaps and bounds in the last few years. As well as playing on the wing, he’s begun to play as a centre-forward, a role he’s been hailed as “absolutely outstanding” in by Darren Ferguson.

It’s in a wide area where he’d be of better use to Celtic, though, especially if Odsonne Edouard stays.

The Frenchman is a goal-scoring phenomenon and even if the team has struggled this term, he’s still scored 20 goals. Therefore, just imagine the tally he could manage playing alongside someone as creative as Dembele.

The 24-year-old has provided 1.7 key passes per match in 2020/21, a tally only bettered by David Turnbull and Ryan Christie at Celtic. His 3.2 dribbles per game this term, however, is more impressive than anyone in the Bhoys team.

With a player as rampant and creative as Dembele down the wings, it could open up further scoring opportunities for Edouard. He should be licking his lips at this development.

وقال جيرارد في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “ميرور” الإنجليزية: “أشعر بخيبة أمل تجاه رافا لأنه من الواضح أن لدي علاقة ولدي الكثير من الاحترام له”.

وأضاف: “يجب أن أكون صادقًا، لقد اعتقدت أنه كان موقفًا فريدًا في ذلك الوقت، لقد فوجئت وصُدمت برغبة رافا في الذهاب إلى هذا العمل”.

واختتم: “بالنظر إلى إرثه وعلاقته مع ليفربول، كانت تلك مفاجأة، من الواضح أن الأمر لم ينجح لأي سبب من الأسباب، يجب أن تكون داخل النادي لتعرف السبب، وهذا ليس من شأني”.

Ibrox legend Alex McLeish has predicted that Glasgow Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack may not be fully fit until the start of the 2021/22 campaign.

The 29-year-old has struggled with injuries throughout the campaign. He was ruled out of nine Premiership matches earlier this season with a knee issue, and he has missed the last three with a calf problem (Transfermarkt).

Speaking to Ibrox News, McLeish has suggested that Jack may not be ready before the next campaign. He said:

“It seems to be an ongoing saga for Ryan over this season.

“In terms of injuries and one particular problem, maybe it is calf or hamstring. He is certainly a player who has progressed under Steven Gerrard.

“As have all the midfielders, I’m not saying they miss Ryan, in certain games they do, but they do have tremendous cover.

“For Ryan’s peace of mind, I think it will be great if he could clear up all of these ongoing injury issues, and maybe that can happen for next season.”

Blow for Gerrard

While Jack has been in and out of the treatment term this season, he has still been an important player for the 55-time Scottish champions. He has played without the 29-year-old in the side.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time he has struggled with injury. As McLeish says, it is a recurring theme with Jack ever since he made the move to Ibrox from Aberdeen. However, when he is fit, he is a force to be reckoned with – Gerrard will be hoping he can get back to his best before July, at least.
