Enquanto não anuncia oficialmente o zagueiro equatoriano Arboleda, por questões burocráticas no acerto do contrato, o São Paulo já tem um de seus reforços trabalhando no CT da Barra Funda: o meia Jonatan Gómez.

O argentino, ex-Independiente Santa Fe, da Colômbia, desembarcou no Brasil e, na última sexta-feira, realizou exames médicos para acertar as últimas pendências em seu contrato – assinou por três temporadas. Neste sábado, enfim, já pôde trabalhar.

A imprensa não teve acesso ao CT neste sábado, período em que Rogério Ceni definiu a escalação que enfrenta o Fluminense, neste domingo. Mas a informação é de que o reforço vindo do exterior realizou um trabalho físico no Reffis e, depois, deu uma leve corrida no gramado. Na manhã deste domingo, ele volta a trabalhar no local com os preparadores físicos.

Jonatan Gómez, de 27 anos, só deve estar à disposição de Rogério Ceni diante do Flamengo, no dia 2, no Rio de Janeiro. A pendência é burocrática para regularizar sua documentação e, por isso, ele não tem chances de estrear contra o Fluminense, neste domingo, no Morumbi.

Em relação a Arboleda, o jogador está no Brasil desde a manhã de sexta-feira e já vestiu a camisa do clube para realizar exames médicos, ao lado de Jonatan Gómez. Mas faltam ajustes burocráticos também para a assinatura contrato de três anos e meio com o São Paulo e ele só deve começar a treinar na segunda-feira. O clube pagou cerca de US$ 2 milhões(aproximadamente R$ 6,5 milhões) para tirá-lo do Universidad Católica de Quito.

Rangers powerhouse Borna Barisic stole the show for Croatia in their 3-0 win over Slovenia in their World Cup qualifying game on Tuesday night.

Marko Livaja, Mario Pasalic and Nikola Vlasic scored the goals for Croatia, with Ivan Perisic and Mislav Orsic providing the assists, but it was Barisic who recorded the highest SofaScore rating on the night.

The left-back was given a score of 7.8/10 for his performance against Slovenia despite not getting on the scoresheet or creating a goal. This was the highest score of any player in the game.

Defensively, the Rangers beast was almost perfect. Per SofaScore, he won six of his nine duels on the pitch as he made four tackles, two clearances and one interception during the match. He also avoided being dribbled past by a Slovenia player, which shows that he was able to guard Atalanta’s Josip Ilicic – who played on the right wing – effectively.

On the ball, Barisic was also able to show off his quality. Per SofaScore, he had an impressive 93 touches of the ball and completed 96% of his passes. The full-back produced one key pass, was successful with all three of his long ball attempts and completed 100% of his dribbles in possession.

This shows that the defender was able to merge stoic defending with class and creativity on the ball. Barisic held Slovenia’s attackers at bay by being strong in his duels and winning a number of tackles, whilst then completing a high rate of passes when going the other way – contributing to Croatia’s dominance.

His 7.8 – man of the match – rating for Croatia shows how he stole the show from the goalscorers on the night. It also highlights how Barisic is capable of producing high-class performances at the top level.

كشفت تقارير عن اقتراب رحيل البرازيلي البرازيلي ماثيوس بيريرا صانع ألعاب الفريق لكرة القدم بنادي الهلال السعودي، رغم معارضة فهد بن نافل رئيس الزعيم.

وأوضحت صحيفة “سعودي سبورت” أن الساعات الأخيرة شهدت تصاعد أزمة كبرى بين اللاعب وفهد بن نافل، في أعقاب تلقي الأول عرضًا للرحيل إلى الدوري البرازيلي واللعب لنادي بوتافوجو في المستقبل، وهو ما يرفضه رئيس نادي الهلال حتى الآن، ويرغب في التمسك باللاعب لأسباب مالية وتسويقية.

وأشارت الصحيفة إلى أن الهلال سيكون مُضطرًا لبيع أو إعارة ماثيوس بيريرا في الميركاتو الصيفي، وأرجعت ذلك إلى 3 أسباب، ورصدتها في السطور التالية:

John Bracewell, who was New Zealand coach till last month, was severely criticised for the peer-appraisal system he had introduced during his tenure, but fast bowler Chris Martin has joined Jacob Oram and former assistant coach Bob Carter in defending the process.He said that while there had been problems with the exercises initially, they had been modified to become more relevant and had helped improve communication within the team besides helping players understand their game better.”We senior players believe that with open communication you don’t ignore things, they’re addressed straight away,” he told the . “And if things are handled appropriately, younger guys learn more quickly about the game and how it should be played.”Giving an example of how the programme helped, he said: “A batsman writes down things, such as ‘get through the first 18 balls, play down the ground and play my two best shots’. If they get out wafting at a wide one early in the innings they haven’t lived by what they’ve said they’re going to do and that’s what the guys are rated on.”I’d rather have team-mates pick you up on things openly and honestly and it’s definitely been the most communicative team I’ve been involved in,” he said. “People don’t ignore things and let them well up, things get spoken about.”Martin said that while the process was beneficial it still needed tweaking to work better for cricket teams. “We have to do it at the end of every day and it’s quite an exhausting process and a difficult one to do on the run in a Test match environment.” The process was designed by Australia-based corporate trainer Leading Teams, who have worked extensively with rugby teams.Recently appointed New Zealand coach Andy Moles is expected to continue it in a watered-down format.

Lonwabo Tsotsobe, who is already on tour with the Test team, will be joined by his Warriors team-mate Wayne Parnell and Vaughn van Jaarsveld of the Lions, all looking for their international debuts.Gibbs, who was dropped from the one-day squad to take on Bangladesh at home, after breaking a team curfew, makes his return along with Makhaya Ntini, who was overlooked for the two previous home series against Kenya and Bangladesh in October-November.At the age of 34, Gibbs’ international future had been in doubt prior to this recall. Lugano faz neste domingo, às 16h, contra o Flamengo, o primeiro jogo depois de renovar seu contrato com o São Paulo. E, de cara, o zagueiro uruguaio terá um adversário íntimo, com quem tem travado duros e polêmicos confrontos ao longo dos anos: o centroavante peruano Paolo Guerrero.

Entre São Paulo e jogos pela seleção uruguaia, Lugano enfrentou Guerrero sete vezes e levou a melhor, retrospecto que ele tentará manter no Rio de Janeiro para amenizar a crise no Tricolor. Foram três vitórias, três empates e apenas uma derrota contra o camisa 9.

The New Zealand batsman Jesse Ryder will play no further part in the Chappell-Hadlee Series after the rotator cuff injury that flared up in training last week did not respond sufficiently to treatment. Ryder will return home on Monday to undergo further tests on the injury which had forced him to miss the one-day win in Perth and the warm-up match against the Prime Minister’s XI.New Zealand are already below full strength for the five-match series and the absence of Ryder, the hard hitting left-hander, may deal a severe blow to their chances. His presence at the top of the order would have been crucial for a line-up containing so many fresh players, such as Martin Guptill, Neil Broom and Grant Elliott.The batsman Craig Cumming, who was named 12th man for the opener, will take Ryder’s spot in the squad. The reserve wicketkeeper Gareth Hopkins will stay with the tour party at least until Tuesday after Brendon McCullum took the gloves in the opening match, which New Zealand won on the final ball.Lindsay Crocker, the team manager, said McCullum came through Sunday’s ODI well, but his hip flexor injury will be assessed again on Tuesday to confirm whether he will continue with full wicketkeeping duties for the remaining matches. The action shifts to Melbourne for the second game on Friday.

A CBF confirmou nesta terça-feira a alteração de data, horário e local de dois jogos do Santos no Brasileirão. A mudança mais significativa foi a do duelo contra o Bahia, pela 16ª rodada. Antes no sábado à noite, na Vila Belmiro, o jogo passará a ser no domingo, dia 23 de julho, às 11h, no Pacaembu.

A partida contra a Chapecoense, no dia 19 de julho, está mantida na Vila Belmiro, mas ocorrerá às 19h30 e não às 21h.

Outra tentativa é de levar o jogo contra o Flamengo válido pelo Brasileirão, no dia 2 de agosto, pela 18ª rodada, também para o Estádio Paulo Machado de Carvalho, já que o duelo válido pelas quartas de final da Copa do Brasil só poderá ser na Vila Belmiro, sendo que o clube já havia oficializado a mudança, mas foi barrado pela Polícia Militar. O segundo pedido do Alvinegro é a transferência do jogo contra o Fluminense, no dia 13 de agosto (domingo, 16h), pela 20ª rodada do Brasileirão, para o Pacaembu. Inicialmente, o jogo está marcado para a Vila Belmiro.
