Jordan Cox: 'I thought I'd slipped under the radar – next thing I know I'm on a tour'

Kent batter flies to Pakistan ready to become first man born in 2000s to represent England

Matt Roller14-Sep-2022England will arrive in Karachi early on Thursday morning for their first tour of Pakistan in 17 years, a historic visit that will see them play seven T20 internationals while under presidential-level security conditions. The length of their absence is illustrated by the fact that their 20-man squad had made a single professional appearance between them when England played their last international in this country back in 2005: Moeen Ali, who will deputise as captain in the early stages of this tour, playing for Warwickshire against Cambridge UCCE as a 17-year-old.The youngest member of the touring party, Jordan Cox, had just celebrated his fifth birthday when an England team last landed in Pakistan. One of five uncapped players in the squad and one of six who will not travel on to Australia for the T20 World Cup, Cox is set to become the first player born in the 2000s to represent England men at some stage during the series. His call-up came as a surprise to him, despite two impressive seasons in the T20 Blast for Kent and one in the Hundred for Oval Invincibles. “I haven’t really been picked up in any leagues,” he told ESPNcricinfo before leaving for Pakistan, “so I thought I must be slipping under the radar, just doing my thing without anyone really noticing. Then, next thing I know, I’m being picked on a tour.”Related

His phone rang at 8.20am the morning after Invincibles were knocked out of the Hundred and, not recognising Matthew Mott’s number, he rolled over in bed in his Manchester hotel room and ignored it. A follow-up text prompted him to ask his team-mate Jack Haynes where he knew Mott’s name from over breakfast – “I’m the worst person in the world with names” – and his pancakes went cold as he tried to take the news in.”I still can’t really believe it now,” he said. “Obviously it’s an absolute honour to represent your country, especially at 21. When I was a kid, I really wanted to play cricket but I didn’t realise this [an England call-up] was going to happen as quickly as it has. It must mean they think I’m a good player, which means a lot.”Cox made a name for himself at senior level with a double-hundred for Kent in the 2020 Bob Willis Trophy – he was bizarrely forced to self-isolate immediately afterwards after posing for a photo with some fans – but while his first-class record (three hundreds, and an average of 37.82) is solid, it is in the shorter formats that he has starred. He played a key role in Kent’s Blast title in 2021, coming in at No. 5 and balancing boundary-hitting with strike rotation, before impressing at No. 3 this season and adapting to a number of different positions in Invincibles’ batting line-up in the Hundred.”They’ve seen me bat everywhere in the order. It’s not all about hitting sixes for me: I start my innings by being busy, getting ones and twos by hitting the bigger pockets and looking to play strong shots for four, then kicking on from there. Hopefully I can fill the gap that they needed.”Cox grew up as a wicketkeeper – he is one of four on this trip, along with Jos Buttler, Phil Salt and Ben Duckett – but has quickly earned a reputation as one of the best boundary-riders in county cricket, most obviously for his role in a stunning relay catch with Matt Milnes in the Blast final last season.

“When I first joined the staff at Kent, it was hard for me to do much keeping work: we had [Sam] Billings, [Ollie] Robinson, [Adam] Rouse and myself so I asked myself ‘how am I going to get into our white-ball team and make a difference?’ and I thought it was probably by becoming a gun fielder. I’ve worked really hard on it, and it’s paid off.”It’s not as good as I want it to be yet. Heino Kuhn, who left Kent a couple of years ago, was the best I’ve seen and all the boys said he was comfortably the best in the world. Learning from him – watching batters and working out where they’re going to hit the ball before they do – has definitely helped me a lot.”Cox is used to spending time in subcontinent hotels after touring India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh with England Under-19s, but Karachi will still feel a long way away from Canterbury.”I’m really looking forward to getting going. Hopefully I’ll get an opportunity, and I’ll try to take it with both hands.”

Leeds line up late bid to sign new Championship star at the top of his game

Leeds United have identified a new attacking target from a Championship rival late in the January transfer window, according to one report.

Leeds injury and transfer latest from Farke

The Whites are set to take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Monday evening in a crucial second-tier fixture. A win for Daniel Farke’s side will take them six points clear of the Clarets, although victory for Scott Parker’s side will mean they’ll join Leeds on 59 points.

Talking ahead of the game, Farke revealed some good news on the injury front, with Pascal Struijk not expected to be out long-term.

“Struijk? A rescan was very good, the tendon was not involved. He is already doing individual [drills] outside. Perhaps back in team training in the next week, so it looks good.”

RB Leipzig are also keen.

ByCharlie Smith Jan 24, 2025

The German boss also hinted that he would ideally like another option at centre-back and in the No/10 position, with Brenden Aaronson the only out-and-out attacking midfielder available.

“I know a bit about his injury history so we will not fall asleep in the transfer window. Position within FFP? When we analyse our squad, our long-term injuries are back.

“I think it’s fair to say if there is a creative No.10 position then its beneficial to our group. He’s a key player but we don’t have a similar player to him. In all the other positions we are covered. At centre-back, Pascal’s injury CV and Max Wober [injury problems] – it concerns me a bit. The quality has to be right. Then the character has to fit, attitude on top level and if he is affordable. I want players who have the quality and fully committed to Leeds United. Let’s see if there is a solution, let’s see.”

Aston Villa’s Emiliano Buendia has been linked with the Whites to come in and rival Aaronson, however, Leeds also appear to be looking in the Championship.

Mike Tresor of Burnley has been mentioned as a potential target, but a new name has emerged on the Elland Road wishlist.

Leeds lining up Ollie Tanner move

According to Football Insider, Leeds are chasing a move to sign Cardiff City winger Ollie Tanner. The Whites aren’t alone in lining up a potential deal, though, with promotion rivals Burnley also interested alongside Premier League strugglers Leicester City and Southampton.

The 22-year-old, who is left-footed and can play as a right-winger, left-winger or attacking midfielder, has been with the Bluebirds since 2022 after joining from Lewes.

Tanner has made 67 appearances for Cardiff during that time, scoring four goals and providing four assists. He is at the peak of his powers right now with a career-high €1.5m Transfermarkt valuation and came in for praise from former manager Erol Bulut, who described Tanner as “strong”.

“I hear things about him that he was not professional, coming from nothing. Last season he was not here, they didn’t want to keep him, we have to respect every manager has a different opinion.

“But when I had a pre-season I gave everybody their chance to play in pre-season and I saw that he had something in him. I am also left-footed and he has a good left foot. He has a good shot and he can dribble. He is strong. So we gave him a chance and every game he puts a bit extra on his game. I hope for his career that he continues like that. He has to stay with his feet on the floor.”

It looks as if he could be a possible target for Leeds in the final days of the window, however, an out-and-out No.10 could be more beneficial instead of another winger.

Their next Chris Wood: Leeds step up move to land “ball-striking monster”

Leeds United will be hoping that their attacking firepower can help carry them to promotion this season. The Whites have been in good form, and currently sit top of the table in the Championship, but it is not going to be a straightforward title race. Although they have a game in hand, just one point separates them and fourth place Sunderland.

Joel Piroe has been fantastic for Daniel Farke’s side this season and has ten goals and five assists in all competitions. Brendan Aaronson and Daniel James have seven goals apiece across all competitions, with Welshman James grabbing four assists and USA international Aaronson notching up two.

Incredibly, to add to the quality in forward areas, Leeds are plotting a move for another exciting striker.

Leeds target new striker

The player in question here is Southampton centre-forward Cameron Archer. The Saints attacker has only been at the club for a few months, after moving from Aston Villa in the summer, but could be on the move again.

Transfer Focus

According to an exclusive report from Football League World, the Championship leaders are ‘planning to table a new bid’ for Archer in the coming hours, after an initial bid was rejected by the Saints.

It remains unclear what type of bid the Whites will place, although the side bottom of the Premier League initially rejected a loan bid.

There is no clarity on whether Leeds will aim to sign Archer permanently or make a move on loan, just that they are ‘planning on making a new offer for the forward’ in an attempt to lure him to Elland Road.

Why Archer could be a good signing

It has certainly been a tough season for Archer in the Premier League. He has played 21 games in total for Southampton, scoring just two goals, although gave his side the lead in a game away to Arsenal. The Saints went on to lose 3-1, however.

If there is one thing that Archer could bring to the Leeds squad, it is even more goalscoring pedigree in the English second tier. He has had previous loan spells in the Championship with Preston North End and, more recently, Middlesbrough.

In that time, the former England under-21 international found the back of the net 18 times and registered seven assists in 40 appearances for both clubs. That included two goals and two assists in the same game for Boro, a 5-1 thrashing of Norwich City.

Should the Whites sign Archer, it could be a repeat of the deal to bring Chris Wood to Elland Road. He signed from Leicester City for an undisclosed fee back in July 2015, as a 23-year-old, just like Archer is.

Wood is loving life in the Premier League this season for Nottingham Forest, but really became a deadly striker as a Leeds player.

He played 88 times for the Yorkshire side, scoring 44 goals and grabbing nine assists in 88 appearances, having previously endured numerous stints across the EFL, much like Archer.

There are certainly similarities between the two players, more so than the fact they would be the same age joining Leeds if Archer was to make the move. In fact, statistical comparisons can be drawn via FBref, with the pair deemed to be similar players in the Premier League.

This season per game in the top-flight, there are clear similarities between the players, despite the fact Wood has 14 goals to Archer’s two. For example, the Saints star is averaging an expected goals tally of 0.38xG and 1.12 shot-creating actions, compared to Wood’s 0.4xG and 1.33 shot-creating actions.

Archer, a “ball-striking monster”, as football analyst Ben Mattinson described him, could be the difference maker for Leeds. He is proven in the Championship and could try and replicate what Wood did in that famous white shirt all those years ago.

Be it a loan or a permanent deal, this late move could be exactly what the Whites need to help in their quest for promotion.

West Indies selectors 'move on' from Russell for T20 World Cup

The West Indies selection panel has “decided to move on” as far as Andre Russell’s inclusion in the T20 World Cup squad is concerned, chief selector Desmond Haynes has said. Russell and Sunil Narine, currently playing for Trinbago Knight Riders in the CPL, were both left out of the 15-member squad that saw the return of Evin Lewis.Haynes said they decided to pick someone “in form” instead of Russell, who last played a T20I in the T20 World Cup last year.”We had a meeting with Andre Russell earlier in the year,” Haynes told Ian Bishop in an interview on the sidelines of Wednesday’s CPL game between Jamaica Tallawahs and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. “We’re still not convinced yet, he’s not performing as well as we would like to see him in the competition. I think in the situation with Andre Russell, we’ve just decided to move on, and look for someone who’s in form, and doing well in the T20 format.”Related

In a press conference later, Haynes said he wasn’t sure if Narine, who hasn’t featured in a T20I for West Indies in over three years, wanted to play after the conversations captain Nicholas Pooran was having with him.”I did not get any notice from Narine regarding his availability to play. There were conversations that the captain was having with Narine, and from all reports, it seemed that he was not interested.”Yes, again, the captain told me he’s reached out to Narine, but I’m not too sure he wants to play.”Narine has been a consistent performer in the CPL and won the Player-of-the-Match award on Wednesday night, hours after the squad was announced, for his all-round performance of 26 off 20 and 2 for 9 from two overs against Guyana Amazon Warriors. He has been batting in the Knight Riders middle order this CPL and has picked six wickets in 20 overs so far at a frugal economy rate of 4.25. Last season, he picked up 12 wickets at a staggering economy rate of 4.37.In the same game on Wednesday, Russell picked 3 for 16 and bowled eight dots in his 17 balls. He hasn’t been among the runs this season, but he had scored much better in the inaugural 6ixty which preceded the ongoing CPL. Russell was the second-highest run-scorer in the 6ixty with 137 runs from five innings, striking at 192.95 with 15 sixes.Russell and Narine have been playing in T20 leagues around the world for many years and were signed by Abu Dhabi Knight Riders for UAE’s ILT20 which will be played early next year. Before the CPL, they played the Hundred in England. While Narine was the top wicket-taker for Oval Invincibles with 11 wickets from six games, Russell scored 148 runs for runners-up Manchester Originals, striking at 168.18 with 12 sixes. He also picked four wickets but leaked at 10.64 runs an over.Even though Russell was among the platinum picks for the BBL overseas draft, he went unpicked eventually possibly because of availability issues as the BBL will clash with the ILT20 and SA20 in South Africa.

Aston Villa considering move to sign "great" Serie A winner alongside Bade

Potentially continuing a busy month, Aston Villa are now considering a move to challenge Juventus in the race to sign a Serie A winner for Unai Emery alongside Loic Bade this month.

Aston Villa transfer news

Following a fairly busy summer transfer window, Aston Villa have once again returned to the market to welcome key reinforcements for Emery. On that front, Donyell Malen is already over the line, whilst the Villans are reportedly pushing ahead in an attempt to welcome both Bade and young Levante right-back Andres Garcia before the end of the month.

Improving both their frontline and defensive options, Aston Villa have their sights on securing back-to-back top four finishes in the Premier League in what would cement their place among those in European contention with every passing year. But they may not be done there.

According to Graeme Bailey, Aston Villa are now considering a move to challenge Juventus for Fikayo Tomori, who has lost his starting place at AC Milan this season.

The Italian giants have reportedly tabled a €5m (£4m) loan offer with a €20m (£17m) obligation to buy on top of another €5m (£4m) in bonuses to their Serie A counterparts but could now face competition from Aston Villa and a number of other Premier League sides.

"Fantastic" £25m star now gives approval to join Aston Villa this month

Unai Emery is looking to bring in a defender.

ByDominic Lund Jan 17, 2025

The defender is reportedly open to a move in 2025, but could yet see his Milan career saved by new manager Sergio Conceicao, who is reportedly a big fan of the former Chelsea man.

"Great" Tomori needs Premier League return

After losing his place at AC Milan, a return to the Premier League to end some unfinished business should be Tomori’s next move. And Aston Villa represent an intelligent option. Not many have joined Emery’s project and struggled to impress. In fact, whether it’s been Jhon Duran, Amadou Onana or Morgan Rogers, players have discovered their best form more often than not under the Spaniard.

Tomori has some unfinished business in the top flight too after leaving Chelsea with more of a whimper than the initial roar that he burst onto the scene with. Now, he could get the chance to come back and haunt his former club courtesy of Aston Villa, where he could also form quite the partnership with Bade.

Despite the fact that the numbers make for solid reading, Tomori has still found himself forced to watch on from the bench at times this season in what is quite the fall from the starring role he previously enjoyed in Italy.

Praised for “great physical attributes” by Milan legend Franco Baresi in 2021, Tomori must now rediscover his best form away from AC Milan and potentially back in the Premier League.

Fakhar Zaman, who had earlier been named in the reserves’ list, has been moved into Pakistan’s squad of 15 for the T20 World Cup. Usman Qadir, meanwhile, is now one of three travelling reserves – alongside Mohammad Haris and Shahnawaz Dahani – after failing to recover from a hairline fracture on his right thumb. Both Fakhar and Shaheen Shah Afridi were undergoing treatment and rehabilitation for knee injuries in London. As reported by ESPNcricinfo on Tuesday, the two will link up with the World Cup squad in Brisbane on Saturday and will be available for Pakistan’s warm-up games, against England on October 17 and against Afghanistan on October 19. According to a PCB release, the team management will assess Fakhar’s fitness during those games.Fakhar was originally dropped from the squad because of poor form and injury, with an uncapped Shan Masood replacing him for the home T20Is against England, the tri-nation series in New Zealand, and for the World Cup.Related

The next Van Dijk: Liverpool pursuing move for future "world-class CB"

Liverpool begin February in a very healthy position. Arne Slot won’t be thinking about a quadruple, but if the Anfield side keeps on winning over the next few weeks, they will have an excellent chance of going the distance across all four competitions they have entered.

Immediate thoughts will be on the transfer window, however. With only two days left, Slot will be keen on signing at least one new player ahead of what could turn into a busy couple of months indeed.

Liverpool Manager ArneSlotcelebrates at the end of the match

Numerous players have been linked with a move to Merseyside since the start of January, but the manager hasn’t opened his chequebook as yet.

A fresh face or two could add some competition in certain positions, perhaps pushing players to perform even better than they are currently.

Liverpool transfer news

RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Xavi Simons has been linked with a move to Anfield recently. The German side would be open to a fee of up to €80m (£67m) in order for any club to pursue a move for the Dutchman, but it remains to be seen whether Slot will go after the youngster.

A more recent update on the club’s transfer business surrounds a potential move for a South American wonderkid.

Xavi Simons for RB Leipzig

According to Anfield Watch, the club’s Global Talent Scouting Manager, Kyle Woodbanks, travelled to Venezuela for the U20 Copa Sudamericana.

Scouts are keeping a close eye on Ecuadorian wonderkid Deinner Ordonez – who was playing for Ecuador against Brazil in the competition – and could pursue a move in the near future.

The 15-year-old came out of the Independiente Del Valle academy, which has produced players such as Moises Caicedo, Piero Hincapie and Willian Pancho.

Of course, Ordonez would certainly be a signing for the future given his tender years, but the centre-back is held in high regard among those who have watched and developed him.

With Virgil Van Dijk out of contract this summer, could the Ecuadorian defender be the perfect long-term heir to the Liverpool icon?

Virgil Van Dijk’s contract situation

Alongside Van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah are also out of contract this summer, yet the Dutchman appears to be the only one who is fully committed to remaining at the club next term.

According to journalist Paul Joyce, the defender is looking likely to stay at Anfield, saying: “He (Van Dijk) has made no secret that he wants to stay, and there appears a determination on his part to prove to Liverpool that, despite turning 34 this summer, he remains at the peak of his powers.

“There remains an expectation around Liverpool that Van Dijk will stay at the club he joined seven years ago and that he can uphold his exacting standards for a couple of more years at least. Life without him remains unthinkable.”

Tying him down sooner rather than later might well give the Reds a confidence boost.

Virgil Van Dijk’s season in numbers

The veteran continues to inspire his teammates as he chases more silverware this season.

He is yet to miss a Premier League game, shining as the Reds currently top the table and are in contention to win their 20th English domestic title.

The Dutchman has won a staggering 71% of his total duels contested in the top flight this term, along with losing possession just 6.5 times per match while being dribbled past only 0.3 times per game.

These figures prove that he still has the ability to perform at the highest level. By signing a new contract, Slot will be able to keep Van Dijk at Anfield for the next couple of years, allowing him to focus on other areas of the pitch which require upgrading first.

The 33-year-old won’t be around forever, meaning that sooner or later, the manager will have to dive into the market for a replacement. Given his impact at the club since joining seven years ago, this could be difficult.

Signing Ordonez could help in that regard. While he isn’t ready for first-team football at the very minute, moving to Liverpool and learning under Van Dijk over the next couple of years could allow him to develop into a worthwhile successor to the Dutchman.

Deinner Ordonez could be an ideal Van Dijk heir

During the recent U20 CONMEBOL Championships for Ecuador, the defender started all three games, playing against those who were two and three years older than him.

Transfer Focus

The youngster averaged one interception, 1.3 tackles and three clearances per game for his country, while also winning two aerial duels per game – an impressive 86% success rate – and there is no doubt the teenager has the potential to go to the very top indeed.

Analyst Ben Mattinson praised the defender during the Championships, saying: “Deinner Ordóñez is a freak talent, raw and needs a lot of work, but for his age he’s insane. The physical and technical foundations there are special.”

Furthermore, he even said that if given time to develop, Ordonez would turn out to be a “world-class CB” and surely Liverpool is the club which could provide the right development for someone of his age.

Slot must make a concrete move for the Ecuadorian sensation while he has the chance, as there will be plenty of other clubs circling around him before too long.

It might take three or four years for the Reds to see the fruits of their labour, but given the chance to train with the senior squad, alongside the likes of Van Dijk and Co, it could give the youngster the perfect platform to showcase his talents.

Van Dijk still has a couple of years left in him at this level, and he will be keen to finish his career off by winning another few trophies.

Planning for his successor must begin now. Ordonez may only be 15, but his potential is limitless. That is a certainty.

India's home ministry will take call on travelling to Pakistan for 2023 Asia Cup, says sports minister

India’s sports minister Anurag Thakur said on Thursday that the country’s home ministry will take a call on the men’s team travelling to Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup. Thakur also said he is “expecting” Pakistan to play the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. His comments come after the BCCI secretary, Jay Shah, who is also the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president, suggested that next year’s Asia Cup would have to be played somewhere other than Pakistan, given India “can’t go there”. In reply, the PCB had put out a statement saying Shah’s comments were made “unilaterally” and raised the prospect of an “impact” on Pakistan’s participation in the 2023 World Cup.Related

“All teams who qualify for [the World Cup] are invited [to India],” Thakur told a select gathering of journalists, when asked about the events around Shah’s statement. “Many times Pakistan teams have come to India and played. I feel India is not in a position to be dictated [to] and there is no reason for anyone to do that. I expect all countries to come and compete.”Later in the day, the newly appointed BCCI president Roger Binny reiterated what Thakur pointed out suggesting the decision about India travelling to Pakistan was not entirely BCCI’s alone but reliant on the Indian government. “That’s not the BCCI’s call,” said Binny. “We have to get clearance from the government. Once we get clearance, we give a go-ahead. We can’t take the decision on our own.”Asked about India travelling to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, Thakur said, “It’s a decision that will be taken by the home ministry. Overall, players’ safety and security is an important matter.”It was pointed out that international teams have started touring Pakistan of late, but Thakur deflected the question.Incidentally, Jay Shah is the son of India’s minister of home affairs, Amit Shah.

Tel will love him: Levy looking at "incredible" Ange upgrade for Spurs

Football is a brutal business, and while he still has his supporters, Ange Postecoglou’s time as Tottenham Hotspur manager could be coming to an end.

The Australian has transformed the Lilywhites from a dismally dull team into one of the most entertaining ones to watch in English football.

However, his ultra-attacking brand of football and horrendous luck with injuries has seen his side fall to 14th place in the Premier League and be knocked out of both domestic cup competitions this season.

TottenhamHotspur manager Ange Postecoglou celebrates after the match

While he might be able to steady the ship when his players start to return, he may not have the chance, as recent reports have suggested that he might be just a game away from the sack, which could see the club bring in a manager who’d be perfect for Mathys Tel and the other youngsters in the squad.

Tottenham's manager search

According to a recent report from TEAMtalk, the Tottenham board are set to decide on Postecoglou’s future following the game against Manchester United on the weekend, which looks like it could be a tough test for the weary Lilywhites side.

In worse news for the Australian, the report has revealed that the club has recently identified two potential replacements already plying their trade in the Premier League: Brentford boss Thomas Frank and Bournemouth’s Adoni Iraola.

However, it seems incredibly unlikely that either of them will leave their current sides mid-way through the campaign, which could mean Daniel Levy and Co turn their attention to a European manager who’s currently out of a job and was quite heavily linked with Spurs last month: Edin Terzić.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss has been out of work since leaving the German behemoths in June last year, and while appointing him as the new Spurs boss could raise a few eyebrows, there are some reasons why it could be a brilliant idea.

Why appointing Terzić would be a great idea

There are two main reasons why Terzić could be the perfect manager to replace Postecoglou at Spurs, and the first is how he develops young stars.

Manager Focus

Who are the greatest coaches in the land? Football FanCast's Manager Focus series aims to reveal all.

It would be fair to say one of the few positives to come out of this season for Spurs is the emergence of Mikey Moore from the academy and how well Archie Gray, Lucas Bergval, and now even Tel have adapted to the first-team.

Therefore, it would make sense to bring in a head coach with a proven track record of developing talent, and thanks to his time with Dortmund, the German certainly has that.

For example, while the talent has always been there, he was able to platform Jude Bellingham in a way that took him from a prospect to a Galactico in the space of a few years.

He helped Erling Haaland continue his development as well, and in an interview with the Bundesliga website, the Norwegian superstar was more than happy to praise his then-manager, saying, “Edin and I have a good relationship ever since I came here and we’ve been talking a lot about different things.”

So, if he has been able to help incredible prospects reach world-class status in the past, why wouldn’t he be able to do the same with someone like Tel, who produced 16 goal involvements in just 1406 minutes of first-team football last season?

The second reason hiring the “incredible” 42-year-old, as dubbed by former Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke, would be a good idea is that he led Dortmund to German Cup glory in 2021, came painfully close to winning the league and Champions League, and has a better record in his last stint with the team than Postecoglou has with Spurs.

For example, in 96 games, he oversaw 55 wins, 20 draws, 21 defeats and an average of 1.93 points per game, while the Australian has taken charge of 80 games since getting the job in 2023 and overseen 39 wins, 11 draws, 30 losses and an average of just 1.60 points per game.

Ultimately, if Spurs are going to get rid of Ange in the middle of the season, then signing Terzic might be their best option, not only because he did well with Dortmund but also because he has a proven track record of getting the most out of young talents, which could be perfect for the likes of Moore, Gray and Tel.
